its building above ground used to be a carbarn for the city streetcars , and was later turned into the karasuma city bus office , then into city subway karasuma line kitaoji station (it had also housed an inspection facility for subway cars until takeda station was extended ), but now large-scale commercial facilities have been built there in order to effectively utilize the old carbarn site as one of the management reforms . 地上部は市電の烏丸車庫を経て市バス烏丸営業所、地下鉄烏丸線北大路駅（竹田駅延長までは地下鉄車両の検査設備併設）であったが、経営改善のため車庫用地の有効活用を目的として大規模商業施設が建設された。
